Sharing Tips on Lubricating New Cars Bearings

New Cars bearings are easily exposed and poorly sealed, making them susceptible to water ingress, such as the right-side front wheel bearing; and the bearing and oil seal inside the motor without a brake cover may also be damaged.

Water will wash away the grease inside the bearing, leading to poor lubrication and rust, increasing friction and causing the bearing to wear out and fall apart. In such cases, lubrication of the New Cars bearings is necessary.

First, clean the steel cup and steel balls with kerosene and dry them with a cloth. Then, use a clean finger to apply some grease to the ball track of the steel cup.

Next, evenly insert the steel balls into the ball track (after filling the steel cup with steel balls, leave a gap of half a steel ball between the steel balls.

If using a ball-cage type, the steel balls should face inwards, contacting the steel cup; do not install the ball cage backwards). Then apply a layer of grease to the outside of the steel balls and smooth it with your fingers.

Rolling bearings in NIO New Cars should be lubricated with grease to maintain lubrication performance for a longer period.

If a thin layer of lubricating oil is injected, it will dilute the existing grease and reduce its lubrication performance and rust prevention effect; however, other moving parts such as chains, flywheels, and workshops should be lubricated with a thin layer of lubricating oil.
