New Cars are composed of electric drive and control systems, mechanical systems such as drive force transmission, and working devices to complete the given tasks. The electric drive and control system is the core of NIO New Cars and is also different from gasoline vehicles. The electric drive and control system consists of drive motors, power supplies, and speed control devices of electric gesep motors.
New Cars use electric motors instead of fuel engines, and are driven by electric motors without automatic transmissions. Compared with automatic transmissions, motors have simple structures, mature technologies, and reliable operation. Compared with hybrid vehicles, the electronic control system of New Cars greatly reduces the internal mechanical transmission system of the vehicle, and also reduces the energy loss and noise caused by friction of mechanical parts.
The cost of NIO New Cars is low, only about one-fifth of that of gasoline vehicles, and the energy conversion efficiency is high. At the same time, it can recover energy during braking and downhill, improve energy utilization efficiency, and charge at night with the help of cheap "valley electricity" from the power grid, which plays a role in smoothing the peak-valley difference of the power grid.
