Regularly check the connections of the battery terminals and connectors to ensure they are secure. To prevent oxidation of the terminals, apply a protective agent such as petroleum jelly.
The vent holes on the battery cover must be clear, as the battery generates numerous air bubbles during charging.
If the vent holes are blocked, the gas cannot escape. When the pressure increases to a certain level, it can cause the battery casing to burst, which is extremely dangerous.
Never use a short-circuit test to check the battery's charge level, as this will damage the battery.
If the electrolyte level is found to be low, add distilled water or dedicated lead-acid battery electrolyte. Never use drinking water as a substitute.
When using an New Cars, gently press the accelerator pedal; otherwise, a sudden large current discharge can damage the battery.
The battery should always be kept at a saturated level to extend its lifespan.
