Under the in-depth promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, and to further promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Eurasia in the new energy vehicle sector, the "2024 Chongqing-Eurasia New Energy Vehicle Supply and Procurement Matchmaking Conference," hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Commission for the Promotion of Trade, was successfully held on September 20th at the Chongqing International Convention and Exhibition Center. The matchmaking event brought together buyers from Eurasian countries, including Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, with local new energy vehicle manufacturers in Chongqing to explore cooperation opportunities. Mr. Cao Wei, Chairman of Chongqing Jinyu Import and Export Trading Co., Ltd., was invited to attend the matchmaking event as a representative of a leading company in Chongqing's automotive export industry.

The matchmaking event attracted over 200 participants, including 26 new energy vehicle buyers from Eurasia, who engaged in on-site matching with over 100 local Chongqing companies in the relevant industry.

During the meeting, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on various aspects of new energy vehicle technology, pricing, logistics, and other aspects, and reached multiple cooperation agreements. This matchmaking event is expected to generate nearly 500 million RMB in purchase orders for Chongqing's new energy vehicle industry, significantly boosting its internationalization.

Mr. Zhang Haiqing, Vice President of the Chongqing Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Mr. Melkanure Zakp, Vice Chairman of the Upper Latka Enterprises Association of Kazakhstan, delivered speeches and jointly signed a friendly cooperation agreement to further promote institutional collaboration between the two sides. Both parties expressed their commitment to fully leveraging Chongqing's strategic location within the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt to strengthen economic and trade cooperation in areas such as new energy vehicles, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
