The fourth-generation Boyue L is a "people's AI fuel SUV" labeled "
New Car," and Geely's major annual offering to further lower the price of its intelligent cockpit and A-segment vehicles. Measuring 4780×1910×1710 mm with a 2785 mm wheelbase, it's 30 mm longer than the previous model, boasting a drag coefficient as low as 0.268. The front features a "hundred rivers flowing into the sea" vertical grille integrated with a continuous light strip, while the rear features a continuous taillight strip with vertical light bars. It looks more spirited than the used Boyue and more agile than the boxy
commercial vehicle, allowing for easy U-turns in underground parking garages.
The interior design, inspired by the spirit of mountains and rivers, seamlessly blends technology and a homely feel: a 15.4-inch 2.5K floating screen, a 25.6-inch AR-HUD, and a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster form a three-screen联动 (interconnected) system, incorporating a 7nm Longying-1 chip and Flyme Auto 1.8, supporting four-zone voice and gesture control; the seats feature Nappa perforated leather, with heated/ventilated/massaging front seats, and adjustable rear backrests that fold down in a 40/60 split, creating a completely flat floor, comfortably accommodating five passengers on long journeys. The trunk has a standard capacity of 650 liters, expanding to a depth of 2 meters when folded down, large enough to accommodate skis horizontally; the space is more organized than other new energy SUVs in the same price range, and the battery does not encroach on the floor.
The powertrain continues to offer two options: a 1.5T and a 2.0T. The 1.5T produces 133kW/290N·m of torque paired with a 7-speed DCT, achieving a WLTC fuel consumption of 6.8L/100km. The 2.0T produces 160kW/325N·m of torque with the same 9-speed DCT, achieving 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds and requiring only 92-octane gasoline. The chassis features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. The springs are comfort-oriented but retain some resilience at higher speeds, allowing for a smooth ride over speed bumps. At 120km/h, the ride is stable and responsive. Level 2 autonomous driving assistance (full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and automatic parking) makes long-distance driving more worry-free than driving a used naturally aspirated car, without the need to constantly search for charging stations like with electric vehicles.
The annual maintenance cost is approximately 12,000 RMB, about half that of similarly priced
new energy vehicles. Compared to commercial MPVs, it has a shorter body for easier parking; compared to older
Used Cars, the new model offers AR-HUD and highway NOA; compared to other hybrids in its class, it offers a 2.0T engine, 9DCT transmission, and 650L trunk at a price of around 90,000 yuan, making it suitable for city commuting and weekend trips to the suburbs, subtly showcasing "fuel-based AI equality" as a form of understated luxury.
