The Leapmotor C11 is a mid-size intelligent electric SUV labeled as a "
New Car," and a representative work of Leapmotor's strategy of bringing "LiDAR + advanced intelligent driving" to the 150,000 RMB price range. Its dimensions of 4780×1905×1658mm and a wheelbase of 2930mm place it between the A+ and B segments, with a drag coefficient of 0.268. Frameless doors and a continuous light strip give it a more dynamic look than a used Volkswagen Tiguan, and more agile than a boxy
commercial vehicle, allowing for easy U-turns in underground parking garages.
The interior boasts a high-tech feel thanks to its "three-screen linkage": a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch 2.5K central control screen, and a 10.25-inch passenger entertainment screen, all powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip, supporting four-zone voice control, transparent chassis information, and full-vehicle FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) updates. Heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats are standard across the range. The rear seatbacks are adjustable and can be folded down in a 4/6 split. The trunk has sufficient regular volume, with a 2-meter depth when folded down, allowing skis and carry-on suitcases to be placed flat. The space is more organized than other new energy SUVs in the same price range, and the battery does not encroach on the floor.
The powertrain offers two options: pure electric and range-extended. The pure electric version features a 200kW single motor, achieving 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds, with a CLTC range of 515-640km. The range-extended version boasts a 1.5L engine plus a rear-mounted motor, with a combined system power of 200kW, a pure electric range of 210-300km, and a combined range of 1190km. Fuel consumption is 5.1L/100km when the battery is depleted. A 30%-80% fast charge takes only 18 minutes, and it requires only 92-octane gasoline. The rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive configuration combined with the CTC integrated chassis provides greater stability during high-speed cruising compared to pure electric
new energy vehicles, and offers a more exhilarating acceleration experience than traditional naturally aspirated engines.
Compared to commercial MPVs, its shorter body makes parking easier. Compared to older used models, the new car adds a lidar sensor and a passenger entertainment screen. Compared to other pure electric vehicles in its class, it offers a 640km range plus highway NOA (Noise, Acceleration, and Autopilot) at a price point around 130,000 RMB, making it suitable for city commuting and weekend getaways. It subtly elevates the "lidar sensor accessibility" experience into a form of understated luxury.
