The Jetour X70 PLUS is a
New Car and a representative work of Chery's strategy to bring "mid-size SUV space" to the 100,000 RMB market segment. The 2025 model is 4749 mm long with a 2745 mm wheelbase, featuring a short front overhang and long wheelbase design, resulting in a drag coefficient of 0.34. The octagonal chrome grille and LED daytime running lights are integrated into the front, while the rear features a continuous taillight design with lettering, giving it a more energetic look than the used Chery Tiggo 7 and a more premium feel than the Volkswagen Touran L
commercial vehicle, making U-turns in underground parking garages effortless.
The interior features a black/orange two-tone design, dual 12.3-inch screens in the center console with the Lion Cloud 4.0 intelligent system, supporting wireless CarPlay and four-zone voice control. The seats are perforated faux leather, with 8-way power adjustment and heating in the front seats, and adjustable rear backrests that can be folded down in a 4/6 split, creating a nearly flat floor, ensuring comfort for five people on long journeys. The trunk has a capacity of 438 L, extending to a depth of 1.9 m when the folded-down doors are folded down, large enough to accommodate skis laid horizontally. The space is more organized than other new energy SUVs in the same price range, and the battery doesn't encroach on the floor.
Two powertrains are available: a 1.5T and a 1.6T. The 1.5T produces 156 hp/230 N·m, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed CVT, achieving a combined fuel consumption of 7.1 L/100 km. The 1.6T produces 197 hp/290 N·m, paired with a 7-speed DCT, achieving 0-100 km/h in under 9 seconds, and requires only 92-octane gasoline. The chassis features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, with comfort-oriented springs that effectively filter bumps. The steering is on the heavier side, providing stability at high speeds up to 120 km/h. Level 2 IQ.Drive driver assistance is standard across the range, including adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, making city driving and highway cruising worry-free.
Compared to older
Used Cars, the new model features a dual-screen setup and connected car technology; compared to
new energy vehicles, it eliminates the hassle of charging stations; compared to commercial MPVs, it maintains the off-road capability and compact size of an SUV, making it suitable for family use, commuting, and long-distance travel.
