The Haval H6 Classic Edition is a
New Car, a pragmatic choice by Haval to bring down the features of its "national best-selling car" to a lower price. It measures 4653×1886×1730 mm, with a wheelbase of 2738 mm and a drag coefficient of 0.34. The front features a large grille with a fang-like continuous bumper, and the rear LED taillights have dynamic turn signals. It looks more stylish than a used H6 and is taller than a
commercial vehicle like the Volkswagen Touran L, making U-turns in underground parking garages effortless.
Interior features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch floating central control screen, supporting CarPlay and a 540° transparent chassis. The seats are perforated leather, with electric heating in the front seats and 8-way power adjustment for the driver's seat. The rear seat backrests are adjustable and can be folded down in a 4/6 split, creating a nearly flat floor, making long journeys comfortable for five people. The trunk has a standard capacity of 560 L, expanding to a depth of 1.9 m when the seats are folded down, large enough to accommodate skis laid horizontally. The space is more organized than other new energy SUVs in the same price range, and the battery doesn't encroach on the floor.
The entire range is powered by a 1.5T high-power engine, producing 135 kW/275 N·m of torque, with maximum torque available from 1500 rpm. It's paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, achieving a WLTC fuel consumption of 7.13 L/100 km and requiring only 92-octane gasoline. The chassis features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, with comfort-oriented springs that effectively filter bumps. The steering is on the heavier side, providing stability at high speeds up to 120 km/h. Level 2 IQ.Drive driver assistance is standard across the range, including adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking, making city driving and highway cruising worry-free.
Compared to older
Used Cars, the new car features a transparent chassis and vehicle connectivity; compared to
new energy vehicles, it eliminates the hassle of charging stations; compared to commercial MPVs, it maintains the off-road capability and compact size of an SUV, making it suitable for family use, commuting, and long-distance travel.
