The 2026 Camry is a
New Car, yet it drives into the gas station with an "electric drive soul": The exterior continues the youthful design language of the ninth generation, maintaining the same dimensions of 4915×1840×1450 mm and a wheelbase of 2825 mm. However, a new Nightshade Edition blacked-out package is added, with 19-inch black wheels, a blacked-out spoiler, and the Camry logo, giving it the look of a performance car ready for the track from a distance. It sits half a head lower than the commercial multivan and is a whole size more spirited than the used Camry.
Interior-equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P cockpit chip, the infotainment system, developed in deep collaboration with Huawei, makes the 10.25-inch (or 12.3-inch) floating screen run smoothly. 64-color ambient lighting, intelligent fragrance, ivory white interior, and SofTex seats maximize the sense of luxury. Voice control allows for fragrance switching, and the transparent chassis automatically activates when parking, providing a "God's-eye view" when passing other vehicles on narrow roads, a feature not found in other
new energy vehicles in the same price range.
The powertrain offers three options: a 2.0L gasoline engine, a 2.0L hybrid engine, and a 2.5L hybrid engine. The 2.0L hybrid engine boasts a combined power output of 145 kW and a fuel consumption as low as 4.2 L/100km, requiring only 92-octane gasoline. The E-CVT electronic continuously variable transmission smooths out any shift shocks, while the AWD version adds an electric motor to the rear axle, delivering a maximum system power of 232 horsepower. In rainy conditions, it provides faster response during highway lane changes compared to traditional mechanical four-wheel drive systems, while maintaining the quietness of an electric drive.
Compared to new energy vehicles where finding charging stations is a constant challenge, this car can travel over a thousand kilometers on a single tank of gas, handling city commutes, long-distance road trips, and business receptions all in one vehicle, bringing the ease of an electric drive to the traditional "gasoline car."
